Request account deletion

How confirmation works

Enter your account email on the next page. We send a verification link; opening it lets you review the businesses included and does not delete anything. You must explicitly confirm deletion. In the app, confirmation requires your current password.

What happens immediately

Confirmation ends service and access to your account and all its businesses, including records and exports. Every device is signed out. Save anything you need before confirming. There is no remaining service period or records-access window after deletion is confirmed.

We release the phone number provided by Elsework; this process does not offer number transfer. There is no self-service undo. Support can investigate a mistake but cannot promise restoration.

Where renewal applies, confirmation authorizes stopping it immediately. Provider cancellation remains pending until confirmed, and messages or charges already submitted may still finish.

Timing and information we retain

We complete unheld requests within 30 days of verified confirmation. You receive a receipt reference and deadline, acknowledgment by email, updates at least every seven days while cleanup is unresolved, and a completion notice. Holds and delays do not restart the deadline.

We erase ordinary account, business, customer, and conversation data. Only evidence necessary for legal, financial, security, or provider obligations may remain. A hold preserves the relevant evidence, not unrelated customer or account data. We explain retained categories and their basis in our updates. Financial retention periods are under review, so we do not promise an exact expiry for that evidence.

Backups age out separately from live-system erasure. Provider copies follow applicable cleanup and retention rules. An offline device cannot be wiped remotely on demand; its cached data is cleared when it reconnects and learns that its session was revoked.

Other privacy requests

If you are a customer of a participating business, contact that business about its service records. For other privacy requests or help with a mistake, contact joe@elsework.ai. Read our Privacy Policy for more information.
